Rehab Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the rehab questions families in Kenya ask us most. Can't find yours? Call or WhatsApp us 24/7.

About Treatment

How long does rehabilitation take?

It depends on each person's needs. Most residential programmes run for 30 to 90 days, followed by aftercare support.

What treatment programmes do you offer?

We offer medical detox, alcohol rehab, drug rehab, individual and group counselling, family therapy and aftercare. Every client receives a personal assessment and a treatment plan built around their needs, history and goals. See our treatment pages for details of each programme.

Do you offer detoxification?

Yes. Detox is carried out under the supervision of our medical team so that withdrawal is managed as safely and comfortably as possible.

Is drug detox safe?

Detox is safest under professional supervision. At our centre it takes place on site with 24-hour monitoring, and symptoms are managed as prescribed by the medical team.

Is alcohol detox painful?

Withdrawal can be uncomfortable, but it is managed medically to reduce discomfort. Our medical team monitors each client through detox so it is as safe and comfortable as possible.

Admission

Can I be admitted today?

Our admissions team is available 24 hours a day. Call or WhatsApp us and we will carry out a free, confidential assessment and agree the treatment plan and admission date with you as quickly as possible.

Do I need a referral?

You can contact us directly by phone or WhatsApp. Our team will carry out a free confidential assessment by phone or in person and explain the next steps.

Can I visit before admission?

Contact our admissions team to arrange a visit. Seeing the centre and meeting the team can help you and your family feel ready for admission.

Can I force someone into alcohol rehab?

Treatment works best when the person agrees to it. Families can encourage treatment by speaking calmly, without blame, about specific behaviours and their effect on the family. Our admissions team can advise you on how to approach a loved one and what the next steps are.

Can parents admit an adult child?

Parents often make the first call, and we welcome that. Because treatment works best when the person agrees, our team can guide you on how to talk with your adult child and encourage them to accept help.

Costs & Payment

How much does rehab cost?

Fees depend on the programme and length of stay. See our Fees & Payment page or call us for a free, no-obligation quote.

Does insurance cover rehab in Kenya?

Cover depends on your insurer and policy. Contact our admissions team with your insurance details and we will tell you how payment can be arranged for your stay.

Is there a deposit?

Payment arrangements depend on the programme chosen. Our admissions team will explain exactly what is payable and when before admission, so there are no surprises.

Are there extra costs?

We will give you a clear quote that explains what is included in your programme. Ask our admissions team about anything you are unsure of before admission.

Visits & Family

Can family members visit?

Yes. Family visits are scheduled according to our visitation policy, and families are invited to take part in family therapy sessions.

How can families be involved in recovery?

Addiction affects the whole family. Families are invited to family therapy sessions, where they learn about addiction, rebuild trust, set healthy boundaries and prepare for their loved one's return home. Family involvement continues through aftercare.

How far is the centre from Nairobi?

We are in Mirera along the Naivasha-Mai Mahiu Road, roughly a two-hour drive from Nairobi depending on traffic. We can share directions or discuss transport on admission.

During Your Stay

Is everything confidential?

Yes. Every enquiry, assessment and treatment record is kept private and handled in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act.

Can I keep my job?

Many clients take leave from work while they complete a residential programme. Speak to our admissions team about your situation and the length of programme recommended for you.

What is the centre like?

Our centre is in Mirera along the Naivasha-Mai Mahiu Road, near Mt. Longonot. It offers clean, secure residential accommodation, counselling rooms and outdoor spaces designed for rest and reflection, away from daily triggers. See our gallery for photos.

After Rehab

What happens after rehab?

Recovery continues after you leave. Our aftercare programme includes a personal relapse-prevention plan, follow-up support and family check-ins to help you stay on track.

What happens after detox?

Detox is only the beginning. Clients continue directly into therapy and the full residential programme, which addresses the reasons behind the addiction and helps prevent relapse.

What should I do if a relapse happens?

Call or WhatsApp us immediately – relapse is not failure. Our aftercare programme includes a re-admission pathway, and our team will help you get back on track as quickly as possible.

Ready to talk? Help is one call away.

Speak to our admissions team in confidence, 24 hours a day. There is no obligation, and your conversation stays private.
